Mirror real-world urgency in your practice

How confident are you that you can shoot intermediate distance with the same urgency and accuracy you shoot at contact distance?

Unfortunately, many shooters don’t practice beyond 10 yards and some find their skill set deteriorates beyond this distance.

Fifteen yards is approximately two car lengths, and it’s a good start to prepare you to shoot more aggressively at intermediate distances.

Adding in a 180° turn gives you a dose of realistic reaction time to an unforeseen threat, having to move and use your eyes to find a focal point and index on the target.

You’ll also work efficiency of movement on the turn and a fast, safe and efficient draw stroke. It’s essential you learn to get out of the standard fighting stance, squared up with the target where you’re staring at the spot you want to hit.

Shooting at farther distances reveals deficiencies in skills that may not be evident at closer distances. Building this skill set makes you more capable, responsible and accountable.
