Shoot faster AND more accurately

“Tactical” and “competition” training can be complementary, helping shooters improve real-world, practical defensive skills and performance.

A great drill to improve your capability to visually process targets and focal points faster, while maintaining accuracy and accountability, is a modified Blake Drill. This drill helps you work consistent and fast target transitions, as well as maintain consistent grip pressure throughout the course of fire.

So whether you’re training your eyes to visually process multiple targets quickly in a competition, or processing multiple threats in a real-world situation, this drill will help you push speed, while keeping target discrimination front and center.

Modified Blake Drill: From 7 yards, draw from concealment and put 2 rounds in T1, 2 rounds in T2 and another 2 rounds in T1, all in the A zone. Shoot for sub 2 seconds.

Give it a try!
