Are you ready?
My cold drills are defensive oriented — not tactics — and a pressure test of multiple skills in one course of fire.
I’m looking to see exactly how aggressive and accountable I can shoot with no warm up or practice. Am I ready to pull my gun out cold, shoot at full speed, and be completely accountable for every round that leaves the barrel?
My Berserker Bill Drill is an aggressive and challenging course of fire designed to shine a light on just how ready I actually am. It’s run nonstop, starting at 5 yds, firing six rounds at 5, 10, 15, and 25 yds and then running back to 7 yds. The drill has defensive utility and it’s a good gauge of how developed my skills actually are. This drill is working draw, aggressive strings of fire, different distances, movement with the gun, and a reload. It’s also hit factor scored which requires me to be both fast and accurate.
If the moment comes that I must use my gun defensively, I want my skills to be as over-developed as possible so they run on autopilot. I can then focus on all the other variables that may be changing in a defensive situation.
Are you being honest and putting your skills under the microscope to understand what you can really do? Watch the video and give my Berserker Bill Drill a try.
