Focus and awareness
Focus and awareness. When talking about the shooting part, aiming schemes and levels of confirmation, there is an understanding of focus and awareness. This isn't what I'm referring to here. My focus and awareness for this dry fire session is focusing on and isolating a certain skill and being aware of the others in the background.
That FOCUS is on reload consistency with movement and the rebuilding of my grip. I'm still AWARE and paying attention to my draw, initial grip pressure, and being focused on a small spot, but it's more in the background. Since I left my timer in the truck, I was using the trex arms timer app on my phone with a 2 sec par time before I started videoing. This was a decently aggressive time for what was required, which pushed me to move faster since I was coming up a bit short. Draw, fire 2, a moving reload, and fire 2 more.
Have a plan, and be specific about what you're working on. Pay attention to what's happening. Don't just go through the motions. Be fully engaged, or it won't transfer over to live fire.
